Springfield Build Day

We slept in all the way until 9!!!! That is 4 hours more sleep then I normally get!

The build site was pretty close so we all just walked over. Instead of building a brand new house the local Habitat took a house that had been foreclosed and are gutting it and redoing it. I helped clean out some stuff in the house and then did a little bit of landscaping. Then we had lunch in the park.

I had a great conversation with one of the Habitat guys and found out that they were doing an Extreme Home Makeover (the show on ABC) about 10 miles away. It was really interesting to hear the point of view of someone who helped out on the show and gave us kind of a behind the scenes perspective.

After lunch we headed back to the build site and loaded a truck with branches. Then I went over to another one of their houses and helped load all of the wood from the demo into a dumpster. It was a pretty low key day since there are so many of us and not always tons of work to go around.

A bunch of us took and trip to the bike store and CVS where I was finally able to get my pictures off of my camera! Came back had dinner, cleaned my bike, had a family meeting and then headed off to bed!
