The Church cooked us an amazing breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, fruit, bacon, bagels, you name it!
The hills weren’t too bad in the morning and we made it to lunch at mile 50 so fast! It was pretty much farm after farm and rolling hills. We came up to a dog that started chasing us. But there was a fence so we weren’t too scared. Then we noticed that the fence ended so someone screamed pedal faster! So we all started going as fast as we could and I pulled out my water bottle to try and ward him away. I ended up just getting everyone soaking wet though.
When we all looked back we realized that his owner had called him back and he wasn’t even chasing us. We almost had to stop because we were laughing so hard!
Right before lunch we passed Newton St. We had lunch in Columbus Indiana in this really cool art park. Columbus apparently is really famous for its modern architecture. The bathrooms were like a maze to get into.
There were a couple of hills after lunch into this town called Nashville. It was really cute and we stopped and had these old timey photos where you dress up in cowboy attire. As a tribute to the bad Amish candy that I had I was an Amish woman.
About 10 miles later we made it into the host town. The Church is SO nice. They have elevators (saves the knees), a pool table, a ping pong table, tv’s, couches, and more!
